SPREAD has installed a large-scale text-based artwork in Beirut that spells out the words Peace, Love, and Joy using freestanding letterforms placed across public streets and plazas. The installation uses oversized typography rather than abstract sculpture, positioning each word as a physical interruption within everyday urban movement. Letters are constructed to be readable from multiple angles and distances, allowing pedestrians and drivers to encounter the message gradually as they move through the city. The work prioritizes direct communication over symbolism.

The installation is temporary and site-specific, responding to Beirut’s post-crisis public environment by inserting clear, affirmative language into shared space. Materials are chosen for visibility and outdoor durability, and the layout is designed to coexist with traffic flow and pedestrian circulation rather than enclosing an area.
