# System-Rebelling Street Art Pavel Puhov Implements Creative Anarchy into Dull Cities By Senduran Bhakthakumaran | Published 2012-01-30 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pavel-puhov References: [zeutch](http://www.zeutch.com/cool/street-art-by-183art-31499) & [designyoutrust](http://designyoutrust.com/2012/01/16/street-art-by-183art/) It seems Banksy isn’t the only system-rebelling artist that the world has given birth to; Pavel Puhov is a [street artist](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/enigmatic-graffiti) whose works are striking from the inside as much as they are for the eyes. Any [graffiti artist](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paul-anthony-smith) can paint a mural on a wall depicting a story or message, however, it takes a special skill to be able to implement elements of physical infrastructures in one’s street designs. It’s displays like those that are really remembered. For example, Pavel Puhov uses a lamppost as a temple piece from a pair of glasses and draws the rest of the glasses on the ground; a design that demands an uncanny level of artistic ability coupled with a flair for understanding one’s environments. Pavel Puhov turns a regular [security camera](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sculptural-surveillance) into an artillery weapon to unmask aggressive efforts by "the system" to keep an eye on the citizens as opposed to its more well-advertised, safety-ensuring principle. These images will have viewers taking second scans to ensure they haven’t missed anything. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.7/10 - Popularity: 47% | Activity: 56% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Graffiti](https://www.trendhunter.com/graffiti) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Street Art Integration:** Opportunity for artists to incorporate physical infrastructures in their street designs, creating unique and memorable works. - **Creative Rebelliousness:** Growing demand for system-rebelling artwork that challenges societal norms and encourages critical thinking. - **Symbolic Messaging:** Use of symbols and visual metaphors in street art to convey deeper messages and provoke thought. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Art and Design:** Opportunity for artists to push the boundaries of traditional art forms and explore new mediums like street art. - **Urban Planning and Infrastructure:** Integration of street art into urban landscapes can enhance the aesthetic appeal and overall experience of public spaces. - **Activism and Social Change:** Street art serves as a powerful tool for raising awareness, promoting social justice, and inspiring activism. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Distorted Furniture Street Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/first-kiss-at-last-light.md) - [Evolved Vibrant Graffiti Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jan-kalb.md) - [Tree-Integrated Mysterious Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tree-mural.md) - [AI-Generated Real-World Transformations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ai-generated-world.md) - [Laser-Cut Urban Artistry](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/laser-cut-city-maps.md) - [Bubblegum Street Art Buildings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hubbabubbabuilding.md) - [Funky Colorful Storage Units](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/colorful-storage-units.md) - [Apocalypse Post Pandemic Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/contemporary-urban-art.md) - [Explosion-Damaged Sculpture Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/light-into-darkness.md)
