Not only does the new donut celebrate one of Mexico's most beloved beverages, but it also puts a luxurious twist on a classic American treat. The Patrón Platinum Donut is a silver-colored pastry inspired by the the [Patrón Margarita](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/patron-reposado) of The Year, which is the Rosa Picante. The foundation of the donut consists of a pâté a choux made with ginger and powdered rose ashes. The inside of the donut contains a rose-infused whipped mousse paired with a chili-calamansi Margarita jelly made from Patrón Platinum. To give the donut an extra-special touch, the outside is covered with edible sheets of platinum and silver powder.
