In his series 'Faces of Sunset Boulevard,' photographer Patrick Ecclesine depicts the characters of one of Los Angeles's most storied thoroughfares. Although the boulevard is often associated with Hollywood glamor, the series evokes a much more offbeat tone than big budget blockbusters and famous celebrities.
From a superhero drinking soda on the sidewalk to homeless people and working girls, Ecclesine doesn't shy away from the less-celebrated aspects of this part of the city. As a born and raised citizen of Los Angeles, he is familiar with the lesser-known nooks and crannies of his fair city.
Patrick Ecclesine became a professional photographer after his studies at the University of California at Santa Barber. He went from shooting headshots of actors and freelancing to becoming a contributing photographer to Vanity Fair Magazine.
