These hydrating wet cat foods are made with high-quality protein from animal sources, [bone broth](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jinx-cat-food) and salmon oil to support and nourish cats at all stages of life. These wet cat food formulas recognize that cats evolved from desert-dwelling felines like lions and cheetahs, powerful animals that get most of their hydration through food rather than by consuming water. As such, one 5.5-ounce can of ACANA Premium Pâté provides half of a cat's daily water requirement. These hydrating, protein-packed formulas are available in a range of pet-pleasing flavors like Salmon and Chicken Recipe, Lamb and Lamb Liver Recipe, and Chicken and Tuna Recipe for kittens. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.6/10 - Popularity: 39% | Activity: 22% | Freshness: 17% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Pets](https://www.trendhunter.com/pets) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Hydrating Wet Pet Foods:** ACANA's Premium Pâté for cats provides 80% moisture content to meet a cat's daily water needs. - **Protein-packed Formulas:** ACANA's wet cat food formulas are made with high-quality protein from animal sources to nourish cats at all stages of life. - **Recognition of Feline Evolution:** ACANA's wet pet food formulas acknowledge that cats evolved from desert-dwelling felines and obtain hydration through food. ### Where This Applies - **Pet Food Manufacturing:** Pet food manufacturers can explore opportunities to develop hydrating wet pet foods like ACANA's Premium Pâté for cats. - **Animal Health and Nutrition:** Companies in the animal health and nutrition industry can focus on developing protein-packed formulas to support cats at different life stages. - **Pet Product Retail:** Retailers can offer a range of wet cat food flavors that provide high moisture content, meeting the hydration needs of cats. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Hydrating Cat Meals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wellness-appetizing-entrees.md) - [High-Protein Cat Food Pods](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/high-protein-cat-food.md) - [Flavor-First Hydrating Patés](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/reveal-entrees.md) - [Pre-Packaged Cat Soups](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vafo-group.md) - [Air-Dried Cat Foods](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/redbarn.md) - [Elevated Cat Nutrition Products](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/catit-1.md) - [Human-Grade Cat Foods](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/human-grade-cat-food.md) - [Extra-Fragrant Cat Foods](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/whiskas-aromatic-selection.md) - [Premium Dry Cat Foods](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/premium-dry-cat-food.md)
