During Passover, cake is not usually eaten since leavened foods are not permitted. But Chef Young found a way to ensure a show-stopping dessert could still be enjoyed by creating a Passover-approved treat. To create this new cake, Young turned to his famous Piecaken, which is a pie/cake mashup, and gave it a few tweaks to make it Passover-friendly. The new PassCaken starts with a [matzo-crusted](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/little-latke) [coconut macaroon pie](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/manischewitz-blintzes), topped with a [flourless chocolate cake](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/giadzy-double-chocolate-panettone), and some raspberry mousse. The whole thing is then garnished with gilded chocolate and a sea salt matzo crumble. It's worth noting that while the PassCaken is made with Kosher ingredients, the cake is not Certified Kosher for Passover, nor is it made in a Kosher facility.
