Under its new policy, Chipotle will be offering paid vacation days, sick pay as well as student tuition reimbursement. Recruitment Strategy Manager JD Cummings told [Restaurant News](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/california-burritos) "We want to invest in the best people we have and to keep them with us." Before boosting part-time benefits, Chipotle offered the same perks to salaried workers. Extending them to wage-based employees is a move to attract and retain high school and college students for their entry-level roles. Out of the company's 53,000 employees, 48,500 are hourly workers. This will go into effect starting July 1.
