Barcelona design studio Parramon + Tahull renovate a traditional apartment in the Gracia apartment with intricate detailing. The space is home to a [family of four](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/triplex-fabre), who have occupied the space over a few years. Now, it gets a new and modern update to complement the building's existing features. The studio started off by removing the partition walls to create a brighter and more open space.

The studio tells Dezeen that "We wanted to bring [natural light](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-64) into all the spaces and to achieve a sense of flowing, continuous space despite the limited surface area. We were interested in working with [natural materials](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bauhaus-budapest-apartment) and returning some of the original spirits of the building to the apartment."
