# Mirrored Medical Buildings Parkpraxis by X Architekten Blends into Its Natural Surroundings By Meghan Young | Published 2012-06-18 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/parkpraxis-by-x-architekten References: [plusmood](http://plusmood.com/2012/06/parkpraxis-x-architekten/) & [xarchitekten.at](http://www.xarchitekten.at/) Parkpraxis by X Architekten is a stunningly atypical [doctor's practice](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oakv-clinic). Placed within a park, its mirrored facade [reflects its natural surroundings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hedge-and-arbour-house) so as to double its beauty while leaving the green area as undisturbed as possible. Interestingly enough, the outside does not reflect in the inside. Strikingly futuristic, the only touch that pays tribute to its location is the old tree that romantically flourishes in the middle of the building. Located in the centre of the lower Austrian community of Kasten, Parkpraxis by X Architekten may lose its autonomy to its immediate surroundings, but this small sacrifice does more good than harm. As an extension and new interpretation of the green space, Parkpraxis by X Architekten positively enlivens the community’s centre, which is can only be appreciated. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.1/10 - Popularity: 70% | Activity: 45% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Mirrored Facade Design:** Exploiting mirrored facades in architectural designs can create visually stunning structures that blend into their natural surroundings. - **Integration of Green Spaces:** Incorporating natural surroundings into building designs can enhance the aesthetic appeal and minimize disruption to the environment. - **Futuristic Architectural Styles:** Embracing futuristic architectural styles can create striking and innovative buildings that stand out in their surroundings. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Architecture and Design:** The architecture and design industry can explore new methods of integrating buildings with natural surroundings to create visually appealing structures. - **Real Estate Development:** Real estate developers can consider incorporating green spaces and nature-inspired elements into their projects to increase the attractiveness and sustainability of their properties. - **Environmental Conservation:** Environmental conservation organizations can promote the integration of green spaces in building designs as a way to preserve and protect natural environments. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Textural Red Concrete Clinics](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clinic-in-anif.md) - [Futuristic Hospital Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jawaher-boston-medical-district.md) - [Acrylic Glass Cubic Clinics](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/t72-dental-clinic.md) - [Tranquil Clinic Interior Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/palo-verde-aesthetic.md) - [Therapeutic Architecture Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/heartland-whole-health-institute.md) - [Forested Residential Buildings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/forest-bath.md) - [Nature Integrated Offices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bochum-office.md) - [Garden-Centric Health Centers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/carcavelos-health-complex.md) - [Residential-Reflective Tranquil Clinics](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aloop-clinic.md)
