A group of scientists and researchers working out of Johns Hopkins University, Aston University and the University of Rochester Medical Center have devised a high-tech medical app that is designed to make it easier for doctors and neurosurgeons to assess the severity of Parkinson's disease symptoms.

This app makes use of machine learning to empower patients to go about testing themselves as often as they want, and wherever they want. Patients can use the medical app to receive a customized symptom severity score, which they can then share with their doctor.

This medical app kills two birds with one stone, as it reduces the costs of diagnostic procedures, while also giving doctors the detailed information they need to devise the best possible course of action for Parkinson's disease patients.
