# Law-Defying Paper Flowers The Parking Tickets Bouquet was Beautifully Designed by Mathieu Tremblin By Nicole Ballantyne-Choo | Published 2013-08-21 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/parking-tickets-bouquet References: [laughingsquid](http://laughingsquid.com/parking-tickets-bouquet/) & [junk-culture](http://www.junk-culture.com/2013/08/artist-turns-found-parking-tickets-into.html) When disobeying the law, wouldn't it be nice to be greeted with a parking tickets bouquet? Artist Mathieu Tremblin used his stellar [origami skills](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/origami-series) to create something delightful out of a bad situation. The French artist is known for gaining inspiration from the city atmosphere, and used the urban lifestyle for his Parking Tickets Bouquet project. He shares, "my interventions are brief and unsigned so that they can be read as a random gesture done by any citizen." This is portrayed when he took the numerous parking tickets on a car windshield and transformed them into a cute [bouquet of blossoms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kill-them-with-kindness). Dealing with parking tickets is extremely annoying, and while the fines aren't lifted, the bouquet will still help to bring a smile to whoever sees. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.9/10 - Popularity: 16% | Activity: 2% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Transformative Art:** Creating art out of undesirable situations to bring joy and inspiration. - **Urban Creative Expressions:** Using the city atmosphere as a source of inspiration for artistic projects. - **Anonymous Interventions:** Creating interventions that can be attributed to any citizen for a sense of community engagement. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Fine Arts:** Exploring innovative ways to create art and engage with the urban environment. - **Urban Planning:** Finding creative solutions to transform unwanted elements into aesthetically pleasing experiences in the city. - **Community Engagement:** Developing initiatives that encourage citizens to express themselves creatively and contribute to the urban landscape. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [DIY LED Flower Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/floled.md) - [Blooming Paper Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kazuhiro-yamanaka-tsubomi-lamp.md) - [Blooming Clustered Art Forms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/structural-botany.md) - [Temporary Public Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flower-market-20.md) - [Space-Inspired Folding Umbrellas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bloombrella.md) - [Block-Building Botanical Workshops](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-botanicals-le-florist-flower-truck.md) - [Unusual Limited-Edition Candles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-bloom-candle.md) - [Rechargeable Illuminating Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bouquet.md) - [Plush Flower Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cj-hendrys-flower-market.md)
