The French artist's passion for sustainability can be seen through his countless works that all feature [green-wall installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/humanise-wall) and [plant-infused facades](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sudameris-plaza). The Paris Vertical Garden is no exception and transforms an aged city building facade at the intersection of Montorgueil / Reaumur Sebastopol and Great Boulevards into a living and growing garden. This complex green-wall spans 25 meters in height and includes 7,600 plants from 237 different species that transform a gray city landscape into a [eco urban environment](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/urban-green). This vast garden facade produces oxygen, absorbs excess rainwater and regulates the temperature of its concrete building shell. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.9/10 - Popularity: 80% | Activity: 88% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) > [Eco Architecture](https://www.trendhunter.com/ecoarchitecture) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Green-wall Installations:** Opportunity to innovate in creating sustainable and visually appealing green walls for urban environments. - **Eco Urbanism:** Potential for disruptive innovation in designing and implementing eco-friendly solutions in urban architecture. - **Vertical Gardens:** Emerging trend in transforming exterior building facades into living and growing gardens, offering opportunities for sustainable urban development. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Architecture and Design:** New market for architectural firms and designers to specialize in creating eco-friendly and aesthetically pleasing green-wall facades. - **Urban Planning:** Urban planners can explore incorporating vertical gardens into city development projects to promote sustainable living and improve urban environments. - **Environmental Technology:** Development and adoption of advanced technologies for green-wall installations to enhance urban sustainability and mitigate environmental impact. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Nature-Connecting Design Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vert-installation.md) - [Pyramid-Roof Glass Greenhouses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/green-pavilion.md) - [Draped Plant-Design Shopping Centers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/calwer-passage.md) - [Forest Tower Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wonderwoods-vertical-forest.md) - [Hotel-Based Garden Terraced Columns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pan-pacific-orchard.md) - [Greenery-Filled Skyscraper Terrarium](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/terrarium-cheongdam.md) - [Plant-Filled Latticed Buildings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/touching-eden-house.md) - [London-Based Garden Roofscapes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/roof-garden.md) - [Plant-Covered Facade Factories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rollimarchini.md)
