It's sick and morbid (but I'll probably tune back in to see the results). Seriously, this can't be good for civilization. The rules of the obituary are simple; it can't exceed 300 words and the entries will be evaluated on development, command of topic, organization and their own creative flair. The contest will also be broken down into various age groups (13-14, 15-16 and 17-18). This is a truly bizarre competition with a [morbid twist](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/funerary-urn). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.2/10 - Popularity: 24% | Activity: 35% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Unique](https://www.trendhunter.com/unique) > [Bizarre](https://www.trendhunter.com/bizarre) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Disturbing Art Competitions:** New art competitions based on disturbing themes or subject matters. - **Child Writing Contests:** Writing contests for children on a variety of topics. - **Inappropriate Children's Activities:** Unsuitable events and competitions for children. ### Where This Applies - **Fine Arts:** Opportunity to capitalize on new and controversial art contests that involve disturbing subject matter. - **Children's Book Publishing:** A possible market for well-written children's obituaries or fiction exploring difficult topics. - **Parenting:** A focus on age-appropriate activities and experiences for children, exploring the limits of what is acceptable. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Children-Focused Design Contests](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/little-artists-design-contest.md) - [Socialite-Inspired Virtual Worlds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paris-hilton-1.md) - [Child President Campaigns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/president-for-a-day.md) - [Artistic Hamburger Competitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/art-of-the-burger-contest.md) - [Youth Art Campaigns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sun-bum-1.md) - [Celebrity Metaverse Worlds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paris-world.md) - [Youth Movement Competitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/absurdly-good-games.md) - [AI Tool Youth Competitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/youth-archidesign-competition.md) - [Youth Arts Master Classes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/outschool.md)
