# Coat Rack Room Dividers (parentesis) by Salvador Bru Provides a Useful Spatial Interlude By Amelia Roblin | Published 2011-11-04 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/parentesis-by-salvador-bru References: [behance.net](http://www.behance.net/gallery/parntesis) In small dwellings with inadequate storage space it can be really difficult to conceal any possessions at all. An object called (parentesis) by Salvador Bru can provide a little bit of practical and perceptible relief by breaking up [multi-use rooms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/morgen-screen) and offering a structure on which to stow your belongings. The charming piece has two purposes, with one acting as a [partition](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/breeze-divider) and the other as a [wall of clothes pegs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/velto). Its frame is tall and narrow so that you can stand one or several together to separate an open program or construct yourself a sort of closet. Bent plywood was used to manufacture (parentesis) by Salvador Bru in order to mimic the look of a pair of brackets or parentheses when viewed sidelong. The clever contraption affords the opportunity to liken your mess to a literary afterthought. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.3/10 - Popularity: 58% | Activity: 62% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Multi-use Furniture:** The trend of multi-use furniture provides innovative solutions for small dwellings with limited storage space. - **Space Optimization:** The trend of space optimization offers practical and perceptible relief for small living areas by utilizing every inch of available space. - **Functional Room Dividers:** The trend of functional room dividers combines aesthetics and functionality, allowing for the creation of separate spaces while providing storage solutions. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Furniture Manufacturing:** The furniture manufacturing industry can leverage the trend of multi-use furniture to create innovative products that cater to small living spaces. - **Interior Design:** The interior design industry can benefit from the trend of space optimization by offering creative and efficient design solutions for small dwellings. - **Home Organization:** The home organization industry can tap into the trend of functional room dividers to provide storage solutions that also act as design elements. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Transforming Umbrella Stands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/split-1.md) - [Open-Concept Clothing Racks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bauhutte-clothes-hanger-rack.md) - [Tripod-Like Garment Racks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/multifunctional-coat-rack.md) - [Flexible Room Partition Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/room-partition-system.md) - [Pleated Textile Dividers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/plissade.md) - [Rotating Panel Room Dividers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ro-room-dividers.md) - [Sandbox-Like Modular Storage Cabinets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-storage-cabinet1.md) - [Felt-Made Retractable Room Dividers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pixels-1.md) - [Classic Retro Shelving Dividers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pira-g2.md)
