# Bacterial Workspaces The Parasite Office in Moscow is Infectious By Jamie Danielle Munro | Published 2011-06-15 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/parasite-office References: [zeutch](http://www.zeutch.com/archi/parasite-office-in-moscow-24647) & [zabor.net](http://www.zabor.net/) The Parasite Office in Moscow fits snugly between two buildings and looks like a growth that formed on two walls. This may not be the most attractive description, but this design is one of the most curious, space-conserving constructions I've seen. The design utilizes the [urban space](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sophisticated-government-office) to great effect, as the layout still allows traffic to flow in and out through the road beneath. The architecture is futuristic with a cubist perspective that allows for the inside to be [open and spacious](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/podimo-office). Moreover, the long window running down the front of the design is perfect for letting the sun shine while employees are hard at work. The Parasite Office is a one-of-a-kind wonder and sets a great example for [work space designs in the future](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/salt-hq). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.9/10 - Popularity: 67% | Activity: 42% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Architecture](https://www.trendhunter.com/architecture) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Parasite Architecture:** The growth-like design of the Parasite Office creates unique opportunities for reimagining urban workspaces. - **Space-saving Workspaces:** The Parasite Office showcases innovative ways to maximize urban space for office buildings. - **Futuristic Office Design:** The cubist perspective of the Parasite Office provides a glimpse into the potential of futuristic office design. ### Who This Affects Most - **Construction:** The concept of Parasite Architecture presents opportunities for construction companies to create unique office buildings that blend seamlessly with urban environments. - **Architecture:** The Parasite Office's innovative design highlights a growing need for architects who can reimagine urban workspaces to address challenges of limited space and congestion. - **Real Estate:** Real estate professionals can leverage Parasite Architecture to market innovative and space-efficient office buildings to businesses that value unique and functional workspaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Reinvented Office Spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mislad.md) - [Perforated Brickwork Office Buildings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/premier-office.md) - [Studio-Workshop Offices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/banda-agency-kyiv.md) - [Illuminated Cave-Like Offices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/javier-senosiain-arquitectos.md) - [Biophilic Workplace Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mangrove-garden.md) - [Amorphous Public Restrooms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/amoeba-public-restroom.md) - [Self-Designed Tranquil Workspaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/studio-saransh.md) - [Contemporary interactive workspaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/interactive-workspace.md) - [Playful Contemporary Offices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/playful-contemporary-office.md)
