# Avian Ink Cartridge Art Paperbeatsscissors Jazzes Up Print Jobs With Vibrant Birdies By Jason Soy | Published 2011-06-18 | Tech Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paperbeatsscissors References: [paperbeatsscissors.deviantart](http://paperbeatsscissors.deviantart.com/) & [paperbeatsscissors](http://www.paperbeatsscissors.com/) Leave it to graphic designer Paperbeatsscissors to make [ink cartridges](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/open-printer) interesting. These avian illustrations reinvigorate yellow, black, magenta and cyan inks by pairing them with some kooky bird graphics. Paperbeatsscissors is an illustrator who's mastered many different art styles. For this particular series of illustrations, Paperbeatsscissors used [pixel art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/richard-scarry) to further accentuate the theme of computers and the digital world. Though these birds appear pixelated, the series really speaks volumes about Paperbeatsscissors' talent, as each avian is perfectly identifiable and highly detailed. The concept itself is also quite quirky, and with an alias like Paperbeatsscissors, you know this artist must be a fun person to have around. My favorite illustration of the bunch has got to be the canary, even though I don't think I've ever printed a document strictly in yellow ink. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.1/10 - Popularity: 38% | Activity: 47% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Computers](https://www.trendhunter.com/computers) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Digital Artisan Illustrations:** Combining digital art with traditional illustration techniques offers an opportunity to create playful and innovative designs - **Bringing Nature to Virtuality:** Incorporating natural elements into digital designs bridges the gap between the physical and virtual worlds - **Pixel Art Renaissance:** The pixel art style is making a comeback with renewed appreciation and innovative techniques ### Where This Applies - **Printing Industry:** Incorporating playful designs and engaging graphics into printing products can attract new customers - **Digital Illustration Industry:** Utilizing a combination of traditional and modern techniques can lead to unique and impactful illustrations for digital products - **Art Industry:** Exploring unconventional and playful styles like pixel art can open up new markets and audiences for artists ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Bird-Shaped Food Packagings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bigbilled-bird-food-concept.md) - [Bird-Shaped USB Flash Drives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pinge.md) - [Chromatic AI Food Printers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ikoffy-edibot.md) - [Digital Ink Pens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/colorpik-pen.md) - [Color-In Fish Packaging](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/summertime-art-box.md) - [Vibrant Bird-Inspired Artful Puzzles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/macar-parrot.md) - [Cheekily Creative Bookmarks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/illustrated-bookmarks.md) - [Pride-Honoring Bird Figurines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pride-birds.md) - [Birdcage-Inspired Smart Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bird-intelligent-sound-box.md)
