This object functions as a slick [magazine and newspaper rack](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/penguin-x-moebe-book-stand) for the modern home. However, the silhouette of the piece is quite interesting and worthy of observation. The Paper Pet has ties to abstract movements, with a twist of the modern and the industrial. Frederik Roijé shaped his offering to subtly resemble the [silhouette of a furry companion](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jingcyuan-tang), hinting that owners of the product will have "a loyal friend [who] holds all of [their] magazines and papers right by [their] side." Frederik Roijé's Paper Pet comes in three colorways — Dark Grey, White, and Brick Brown. The materials used for the manufacturing of the product is [coated steel](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/foldy) and production was completed in The Netherlands. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.5/10 - Popularity: 64% | Activity: 34% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Abstract Magazine Racks:** Designing magazine racks with abstract silhouettes to add a unique touch to the modern homes. - **Industrial Pet-inspired Home Accessories:** Incorporating industrial design with pet-inspired shapes in unique home accessories. - **Colorful Coated Steel Home Decor:** Experimenting with coated steel and vibrant colorways to create eye-catching home decor. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Home Decor:** Innovation opportunities to offer consumers industrial and pet-inspired home accessories. - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Experimentation with materials such as coated steel to create unique and functional furniture and accessories. - **Interior Design Services:** Offering design-forward home accessories in unique shapes and colorways as part of interior design services. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Minimalist Pet Decor Products](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modern-pet-furniture-collection.md) - [Curvaceous Animalistic Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bookpet-coffee-table.md) - [Minimalist Pet-Inspired Decor Items](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minimal-pets.md) - [Single-Piece Wooden Magazine Racks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/skola.md) - [Pet-Catered Sleek Furniture Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/papuk.md) - [Posh Pet-Friendly Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arch-chair-design.md) - [Flexible Plywood-Made Pet Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tuto-pet-house.md) - [Tubular Literature Storage Racks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/interspace-magazine-rack.md) - [Minimal Sustainable Pet Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/biting-edge.md)
