Cardboard is lightweight and sturdy but is quickly becomings problematic given the tons of it that are being discarded each day, so this paper packaging project has been created in a bid to help give the product new life. Created by RONG Design, the packaging, known as the 'P-Box,' is intended to be used upon arrival at the home of the consumer instead of simply discarded once empty. This will enable users to transform it into a sturdy stool or even a pet house to suit the preferences or needs of consumers.
The team at RONG Design spoke on the 'P-Box' paper packaging project saying, "Through different topics and concepts, the design did not just meet the basic functionalities for daily uses but also other humanitarian benefits, such as compartmentalizing wastes, giving homeless animals a shelter, etc. This brought an entirely different perception on such an ordinary thing, this huge contrast brought awareness to the public that ‘small actions can make a great difference.'"
