Created by Moscow-based artist Marina Adamova, the paper ornaments depict the most familiar characters and moments from Alice in Wonderland. They manage to portray the nicer imagery of the novel, capturing its whimsical, imaginative beauty and leaving out its dangerous and eerie elements. Adamova skillfully uses different colors and textures of paper to build beautiful, miniature paper artworks. Each paper scene is encased in a [round plastic bauble](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-snow-globes), perfect for the upcoming holiday season. The paper ornaments would look lovely hanging from the boughs of a Christmas tree or over a mantelpiece. Adding an unusual, literary touch to [holiday decor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/merry-sparkles-outdoor-decor) is at once a timeless tradition and a concept that carries the potential for innovation and creativity. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.9/10 - Popularity: 80% | Activity: 59% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 10% men, 90% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Literary-themed Ornaments:** Opportunity for retailers to capitalize on the trend by expanding their existing holiday decor lines with literary-inspired additions - **Miniature Paper Art:** Potential for artists and designers to create unique, small-scale artworks like these paper ornaments for various applications - **Whimsical Holiday Decor:** Space for companies to create a niche in the market by offering holiday decor that deviates from traditional designs and offers unique, whimsical aesthetics ### Sectors Adopting This - **Retail:** Retailers can offer product lines which cater to specific literary themes for the holiday season - **Art and Design:** Companies can explore opportunities in creating unique, miniature art pieces for various applications - **Home Decor:** Home decor brands can include whimsical designs in their product lines to stand out in a competitive space and appeal to a niche audience ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Mid-Century-Inspired Paper House Ornaments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paper-christmas-ornament.md) - [Christmas Puzzle Ornaments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/130-piece-puzzle-ornaments.md) - [Novelty Supermarket Ornaments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aldis-novelty-baubles.md) - [Whimsical Halloween Decor Ranges](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/michaels-alices-adventures-collection.md) - [Illuminated Christmas Tree Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/all-lit-up.md) - [3D-Printed Appliance Ornaments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/limited-edition-christmas-baubles.md) - [DIY Embroidery Ornaments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/diy-stitched-ornament-kits.md) - [Sculpted Holiday Candles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pastel-palette.md) - [Sparkling Illuminated Festive Wreaths](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/starry-wreath.md)
