They’re an eco-friendly and creative alternative to sending out an ordinary bouquet of flowers. While sending a [bouquet of roses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/forever-roses) costs an arm and a leg, making paper roses hardly costs a thing and shows how much effort and thought you put into the gift. All you need for this easy-to-make project is an [ordinary paper bag](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/muji-labo) and a pair of scissors. Simply cut up the bag into long strips, roll one strip into a tightly wound tube and then take another strip to wrap around that tube in order to resemble rose petal flowers. Just repeat these steps until you’ve completed a full bouquet of paper flowers. This creative and out-of-the-box design is a great way to get inventive with your gift-giving methods. Featured on the blog ‘Releve Design,’ these extraordinary flowers are definitely something your loved ones won’t expect. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.6/10 - Popularity: 34% | Activity: 7% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [DIY](https://www.trendhunter.com/diy) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Eco-friendly Gift Giving:** As consumers become more environmentally conscious, there is a disruptive innovation opportunity for businesses to offer more sustainable and upcycled gift options, such as upcycled paper bag bouquets. - **DIY Craft Projects:** DIY craft projects offer a creative and personal touch to gift-giving, and businesses can tap into this trend by offering resources and ideas for crafting, such as instructions for making paper bag bouquets. - **Alternative Floristry:** The rise of alternative floristry trends, such as upcycled paper bag bouquets, shows that there is a demand for unique and unconventional floral arrangements, offering a disruptive innovation opportunity for businesses to explore new and creative floral designs. ### Who This Affects Most - **Gift Industry:** The rising popularity of eco-friendly and unique gift options, such as upcycled paper bag bouquets, presents a disruptive innovation opportunity for businesses in the gift industry to revamp their offerings and prioritize sustainability. - **Craft and DIY Industry:** The DIY nature of upcycled paper bag bouquets reflects a growing interest in crafting and DIY projects, providing a disruptive innovation opportunity for businesses in the craft and DIY industry to offer materials and resources for customers to create their own unique gifts. - **Floristry Industry:** Upcycled paper bag bouquets are part of a larger trend towards unconventional and unique floral arrangements, presenting a disruptive innovation opportunity for businesses in the floristry industry to expand their offerings and embrace new, creative designs. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Unusual Home Decor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ceramic-brown-paper-bag-vase.md) - [Multi-Use Flower Bags](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/reusable-flower-bags.md) - [DIY Bagel Bouquets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bagel-bouquet.md) - [Vibrant Preserved Rose Bouquets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/preserved-roses.md) - [Buildable Rose Bouquet Decor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bouquet-of-roses-set.md) - [Building Block Bouquets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bouquet-of-roses.md) - [Floral Brand Collabs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bouqs-collabs.md) - [Halloween-Themed Flower Bouquets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bouqs-spooky-collection.md) - [Rentable Wedding Florals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rentable-wedding-bouquets.md)
