# Panoramic Library Interiors Vector Architects' Latest Project is a Reading Room With a View By Jana Pijak | Published 2015-06-12 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/panoramic-library References: [fubiz.net](http://www.fubiz.net/2015/06/12/library-with-panoramic-sea-view/) & [vectorarchitects](http://www.vectorarchitects.com/) Vector Architects' latest design project is a panoramic library that boasts striking views of the seaside. The contemporary space borrows from the [brutalist architecture movement](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/far-rockaway-library) and relies on heavy concrete elements to make up its exterior shell. Once inside, visitors are greeted by the same grey tones that adorn the building's exterior but will experience a warmer play on textures. This panoramic library's concrete and stone finishes are paired with warm food flooring and floor-length glass partitions that are penetrated with natural light. In addition to its warm and earthy aesthetic, this reading space also boasts stunning views of the Chinese city Nandaihe and its vast coastline and waterfront. Overall, the space gives its visitors a feeling of calm and concentration when reading. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.0/10 - Popularity: 45% | Activity: 6% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Panoramic Library Design:** Opportunities for architects to incorporate stunning views and unique aesthetics into library design. - **Brutalist Architecture Movement:** A revitalization of the Brutalist movement could occur, bringing a new appreciation for heavy concrete structures. - **Integration of Natural Light:** Increasing importance placed on incorporating natural light and warmth into interior design. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Architecture:** Opportunities for architects and designers to create unique structures that incorporate both function and aesthetic appeal. - **Library Services:** Creating immersive library spaces to better serve customers and encourage engagement. - **Interior Design:** New trends in design aesthetics that prioritize the combining of contrasting textures and the use of natural lighting. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Glass-Lined Towering Libraries](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beijing-city-library.md) - [Tea-Honoring Angular Libraries](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/atelier-xi-2.md) - [Juxtaposing Angular Libraries](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brixen-public-library.md) - [Wood-Wrapped Contemporary Libraries](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/graded-school-library.md) - [Floating Wetland Bookstore](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/xixi-goldmye-bookstore.md) - [Cultural Green Libraries](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/taichung-green.md) - [Children's Story-Inspired Libraries](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/western-academy.md) - [Mobile Glass Libraries](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/la-libreria.md) - [Perforated Shadow-Casting Libraries](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mariams-library.md)
