The workstation is capable of being positioned against a wall and will take up minimal space, while still providing professionals with all the area they need to get work done. The [folding design of the desk](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/leandesk) and components will allow it to be positioned out of the way when not in use. The 'Pandemic Work Desk Concept' has [dividers along the sides](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/canopy-desk) in order to separate workers from one another to prevent them from interacting too closely. The design would enable businesses to open back up again in a way that could curb virus spread by keeping everyone segregated to their own area. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.7/10 - Popularity: 97% | Activity: 96% | Freshness: 9% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Foldable Workstations:** Opportunity to design furniture that is easily portable and can be stored compactly. - **Self-isolating Workstations:** Opportunity to create workstations that prioritize safety and hygiene of employees through dividers and individual spaces. - **Pandemic-inspired Furniture:** Opportunity to create furniture that meets the unique needs and demands of a post-pandemic world. ### Where This Applies - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Opportunity to design and manufacture innovative furniture that meets the demands of a post-pandemic workspace. - **Office Supplies:** Opportunity to create and market products that help businesses maintain a safe and healthy work environment. - **Interior Design:** Opportunity to come up with creative solutions to design workspaces that prioritize safety and hygiene in a post-pandemic world. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Fold-Down Workstation Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/workspace-furniture-solution.md) - [Single-Piece Construction Workstations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nook-desk.md) - [Space-Saving Foldable Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/foldable-desk1.md) - [Quirky Solo Office Pods](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/work-capsules.md) - [Folding Multifunctional Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ignite-desk.md) - [Modular Fold-Out Desk Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/foldable-wooden-workstation.md) - [Modular Post-Pandemic Office Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/futo-collection-furniture.md) - [Humorous Quick Cleanup Workstations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flip-desk-concept.md) - [Fold-Out WFH Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/writing-bureau.md)
