It is inspired by the pandan cake, a popular dessert in Singapore that is made with pandan leaves, coconut milk, and eggs. The Pandan Playground ice cream has a light green color and a fragrant aroma from the [pandan extract and pandan rice jelly](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-rice-creamery). It also contains a [coconut ice cream base](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/coconut-jubilee) and Gula Melaka Palm Sugar Syrup which has a similar flavor to vanilla. The Pandan Playground ice cream is part of a limited-edition collection of Singapore-inspired flavors that Morgenstern’s Finest Ice Cream launched in July 2023. The collection aims to celebrate the culture and cuisine of Singapore, as well as to promote the country as a travel destination for Americans. The other flavors in the collection include Chili Crab, Kaya Toast, and Kopi-O. The Pandan Playground ice cream is available at all Morgenstern’s Finest Ice Cream locations in New York City until December 31, 2023.
