The unconventional pancake maker has a kettle-like shape and instead of pouring pancake batter flat, pancakes are made vertically like popsicles and cooked evenly. With Roky, single serve pancakes on a stick take about ten minutes to cook, and it's also possible to make eggrolls in this device, using eggs instead of pancake batter. The Roky is designed by E-Balance Co. and costs about $60, which is probably a worthwhile investment if you struggle with [flipping pancakes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/briochef)—it might be a little messier, but think of how satisfying it would be to dunk a pancake stick in delicious maple syrup. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.7/10 - Popularity: 60% | Activity: 72% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Kitchen](https://www.trendhunter.com/kitchen) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Vertical Cooking:** The Roky pancake lollipop maker introduces the trend of vertical cooking, allowing for a unique and convenient way to prepare food. - **Single Serve Convenience:** The Roky pancake lollipop maker taps into the trend of single serve convenience, making it easier for individuals to enjoy pancakes on the go. - **Alternative Food Shapes:** The Roky pancake lollipop maker contributes to the trend of alternative food shapes, giving consumers a fun and playful twist on traditional pancake presentation. ### Where This Applies - **Kitchen Appliances:** The Roky pancake lollipop maker presents an opportunity for innovation in the kitchen appliances industry, with potential for new designs and features to enhance cooking experiences. - **Foodservice:** The Roky pancake lollipop maker offers disruptive innovation opportunities in the foodservice industry, allowing cafes and restaurants to attract customers with unique pancake offerings. - **Home Cooking Products:** The Roky pancake lollipop maker opens up possibilities for disruptive innovation in the home cooking products industry, enabling manufacturers to create specialized tools for creative cooking techniques. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Heat-and-Eat Pancake Sandwiches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rojos-famous-pancake-sandwich.md) - [Plant-Powered Pancake Sticks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pancake-and-sausage.md) - [Prepackaged Pancake Products](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rustlers-pancake-stack.md) - [Toaster-Ready Griddle Pancakes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/griddle-pancakes.md) - [Sweet-Savory Breakfast Sticks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pancake-sausage-stick.md) - [Christmas Tree Pancake Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/complete-pancake-kit.md) - [Grab-and-Go Pancake Cups](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pancakes-go.md) - [Gourmet Pancake Stack Menus](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fancy-pancake-menu.md) - [Hollow Customizable Waffle Makers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chefman-big-stuff.md)
