This classy dust receptacle was designed by Sudhanwa Chavan as a way of both saving space and classing up the home. The paNBin dust collector gets its unique name from the fact that it is both a dustpan and a dustbin. PaNBin has a unique shape that makes it look as if it's being sucked down a black hole with its body slowly losing size as it goes down. The ultra-modern look and multifunctional capabilities of Chavan's design are a winning combination. Many [common household items](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pulito) have been given a contemporary look, but the dustbin/pan has somehow eluded the grasp of modern design, until now that is. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.4/10 - Popularity: 28% | Activity: 36% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Multifunctional Household Items:** The paNBin dust collector highlights the demand for household items that can be used in multiple ways, creating innovative opportunities for product designers. - **Space-saving Design:** The paNBin dust collector's unique shape and multifunctional capabilities highlight the need for space-saving designs of household objects, leading to opportunities for companies to create innovative products for smaller living spaces. - **Modern Design of Traditional Objects:** Chavan's design demonstrates a demand for modern design of traditional household items, opening up opportunities for product designers to create updated versions of everyday objects. ### Where This Applies - **Home Goods:** The paNBin dust collector could inspire home goods companies to create trendier and more multifunctional products. - **Product Design:** Chavan's innovative design challenges product design companies to think beyond traditional creations and develop new products for modern living environments. - **Space-saving Furniture Design:** The paNBin dust collector demonstrates the need for companies to design innovative and unique space-saving furniture for modern living spaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Cubic Handheld Vacuum Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dust-box-vacuum-cleaner.md) - [Clog‑free Dust Collectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/anydust.md) - [Chic Utilitarian Trash Cans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/carden-the-twin.md) - [Display-Equipped Vacuum Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blend-i-vacuum-cleaner.md) - [Design-Conscious Vacuum Cleaners](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/airsign-vacuum.md) - [Mid-Century Modern Litter Boxes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pawbby-p1-ultra.md) - [Connected Dust-Capturing Air Purifiers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blueair-dustmagnet-5440i.md) - [Decor-Inspired Vacuums](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/handheld-vacuum-concept.md) - [Reimagined Sculptural Vacuum Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/doric-vacuum-cleaner.md)
