The [Panasonic](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lumix-s9) Lumix DMC-CM1 is an Android-powered [smartphone-camera hybrid](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/caira-camera). It was released along with two other Lumix camera devices.

The CM1 is extremely thin and portable for a camera, even if it's slightly chunky for a phone. It is fitted with a 20-megapixel one-inch MOS sensor. This sensor is similar in attributes to the ones used in [premium compact cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/panasonic-zs99), but is far superior to the ones found in smartphone cameras.

The device also features a shutter release button along with a lens ring that can be used to control a variety of settings including aperture, shutter speed and focus.

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-CM1 will go on sale in France and Germany later this year for around $1,150. Panasonic hasn't yet revealed when the camera will be available in North America.
