Now, this might sound strange since you're most likely accustomed to seeing a tank on a toilet, but the Panasonic Arauno V has been designed so that the toilet collects water directly from the house's water supply instead of from a tank. Further, the Panasonic Arauno V's bowl is "engineered like a tornado to cleanly circulate waste down the drain," describes Jetson Green. One of the advantages of a tankless toilet like this is that they're perfect for [smaller living spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/archiplan-compact-basin-collection), which are inevitable in today's steadily growing urban areas. Panasonic has even designed a model that features a built-in sink, providing further space-saving benefits. What's more, the Panasonic Arauno V is eco-friendly -- it's made with an "organic glass-based material" and will [conserve about 0.8 gallons of water](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bergvattnet) every time it's flushed. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.4/10 - Popularity: 59% | Activity: 66% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Tankless Toilets:** Tankless toilets offer space-saving benefits for smaller living spaces in growing urban areas. - **Water-saving Technology:** Tankless toilets conserve water and provide eco-friendly options for flushing. - **Integration of Functions:** Tankless toilets with built-in sinks provide additional space-saving benefits. ### Where This Applies - **Home Improvement:** Tankless toilets offer innovative solutions for optimizing space in smaller homes. - **Plumbing:** Water-saving tankless toilets present opportunities for eco-friendly plumbing systems. - **Sustainable Design:** Incorporating organic glass-based materials in tankless toilets contributes to sustainable home design. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Powerful Vortex Toilet Bowls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/twistflush-toilet.md) - [Futuristic Intelligent Toilets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/intelligent-toilet.md) - [Feature-Packed Smart Toilets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/neolet.md) - [Smart Toilet Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-toilets.md) - [Water-Free Telescoping Toilet Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clesana-x1.md) - [Compact Portable Toilets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clesana-x1-camping-toilet.md) - [Brutalist Smart Toilets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/formation-02.md) - [Hygienic Auto-Flushing Toilets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/close-the-lid-toilet.md) - [Martian Toilet Prototypes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/martian-toilet.md)
