A [modern, faceted abode](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cm-g1), it is unlike anything I have ever come across. The Palms House, designed by Daly Genik Architects, features a meshlike encasement on the top level that really gives it a unique, futuristic feel. Located in Venice, California, this addition really gives the Palms House a sense of privacy, which is appropriate for the couple who resides in it. Clean and contemporary, the Palms House features a [metal enclosure](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bomun-house) that still manages to let in a lot of [natural light](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/openfield-house) while shielding away the glare of the sun. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.6/10 - Popularity: 62% | Activity: 9% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Mesh Enclosures:** Innovative use of mesh enclosures in architectural design to add privacy and a futuristic feel. - **Faceted Abodes:** Modern, faceted abodes as a unique alternative to traditional architectural designs. - **Clean Contemporary Design:** Clean, minimalistic and contemporary design concepts in architecture. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Architecture:** Innovative designs and incorporation of futuristic design concepts in modern architectural designs. - **Construction:** Incorporation of technological advancements and non-traditional materials in construction, such as metal enclosures and mesh to create unique, modern designs. - **Interior Design:** Creation of modern, unique interiors that complement the clean and contemporary design of modern faceted abodes. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sculptural Facade Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fractal-facade-house.md) - [All-Metal Palm Spring Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aluminaire-house.md) - [Transparent Shell-Covered Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-brisa.md) - [Privacy Enhanced Minimal Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-open-house-1.md) - [Privacy-Focused Australian Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clifton-house.md) - [Compact Urban Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stealth-house.md) - [Discrete Lakeside Modern Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/palissade.md) - [Blocky Stone Perimeter Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/forte-house.md) - [Materially Expressive Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/alma-switch-house.md)
