# Precision Paint Roller Add-Ons The Roller Bumper Stops Paint Roller Brushes from Touching the Top By Michael Hemsworth | Published 2016-10-26 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paint-roller-brush References: [thegadgetflow](http://thegadgetflow.com/portfolio/roller-bumper-painting-made-easy/) & [kickstarter](https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1946413669/roller-bumper-tm-painting-made-easy) Anyone who has ever painted a room using a paint roller brush knows how hard it is to not hit the ceiling when rolling, which the Roller Bumper aims to help eliminate. Clipping onto the side of a traditional roller brush handle, the Roller Bumper can be adjusted in length to allow painters to get extra close to the ceiling without going straight to the top. This ensures that freshly [painted ceilings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shalimar-paints) won't have dabs of wall paint on them. The Roller Bumper features a clip-on design that can be used with virtually any paint roller brush. The device is currently being funded as part of a [Kickstarter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/appligator) campaign where early birds can pick up the device for as little as $5. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.9/10 - Popularity: 89% | Activity: 79% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Precision Paint Roller Add-ons:** The Roller Bumper represents a disruptive innovation opportunity for the precision paint roller industry, providing a solution to the common problem of hitting the ceiling while painting. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Painting and Home Improvement:** The precision paint roller industry can benefit from the Roller Bumper by offering a more efficient and effective painting tool for professionals and DIY enthusiasts. - **Product Design:** The product design industry can explore similar paint roller add-ons to enhance the performance and functionality of existing tools. - **Crowdfunding:** The crowdfunding industry can support innovative products like the Roller Bumper, offering backers the opportunity to access breakthrough paint roller accessories. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Scuff-Resistant Paint Cans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-pittsburgh-paints.md) - [Hard-to-Reach Sunscreen Assisters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/appligator.md) - [Removable Wall Paints](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/unpaint.md) - [Self-Cleaning Robot Mops](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ozmo-roller-mop.md) - [Decorative Removable Paints](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/glasst.md) - [Head Support Workout Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wheeled-headrest.md) - [Barrier-Based Pest Controls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/slick-barrier.md) - [Curly Hair Volumizing Brushes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/edgelift-brush-collection.md) - [Advanced Face Rollers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pro-face-roller.md)
