The app allows celebrities to set up [live video broadcasts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/digital-fan-engagement) and have face to face conversations with fans who tune in. Padlokt works by assigning various celebrities and organizations their own channels. If a celebrity decides to do a session on live video chatting, they can promote it through their Padlokt account as well as their existing social media channels. Padlokt is a relatively new platform, so there are only a few celebrities currently on it.
