# Ghostly Gamer Furnishings The Pac-Man Ghost Coffee Table is Inspired by the Game's Famous Ghouls By Michael Hines | Published 2011-10-18 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pac-man-ghost-coffee-table References: [technabob](http://technabob.com/blog/2011/10/17/pac-man-table/) & [etsy](http://www.etsy.com/listing/82087375/pac-man-ghost-table-coffee-table-kitchen) Austin artist Ryan Fitzpatrick has created what may be one of the geekiest furnishings ever in the form of the [Pac-Man](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/woobles-pacman-crochet-kit) Ghost coffee table. The Pac-Man Ghost table is exactly what it sounds like: a coffee table designed in the shape of the game's famous ghosts. If you have never dreamed of resting your magazines or drinks on the face of Inky, Blinky, Pinky or Clyde, then you should probably stop reading now. The Pac-Man Ghost coffee table is handmade by Fitzpatrick and can actually be customized with longer legs that allow it to function as a traditional kitchen table or desk. The Pac-Man Ghost table sells for around $200 and can be ordered from the Masters of Fate [Etsy](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/scrabble-coffee-table) store. Here's hoping that this table becomes edible when viewed under blue lighting. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.0/10 - Popularity: 5% | Activity: 18% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Gaming-inspired Furniture:** Design furniture based on popular video game characters could become more common - **Geek Chic Home Decor:** The trend of incorporating pop culture references into home decor is on the rise - **Customizable Tables:** Consumers are looking for furniture that can be adapted to fit their specific needs and preferences ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Furniture Design:** Incorporating playful references and customization options into furniture design could be a key differentiator for brands - **Gaming Merchandise:** Expanding the range of gaming-inspired merchandise to include functional design pieces for the home could be a lucrative market - **E-commerce:** E-commerce platforms that curate unique and niche products like customized furniture may see a growth in demand ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Gaming Console Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mario-cart-coffe-table.md) - [Pillow-Like Gaming Consoles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arcade1up-pacman-couchcade.md) - [Pixelated Gamer Smart Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/govee-pacman-gaming-pixel-light.md) - [Maximalist UFO Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flying-saucer-coffee-table.md) - [Board Game Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/scrabble-coffee-table.md) - [Cartoon Glove Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/voila-coffee-table.md) - [Board Game Furniture Innovations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bandpass-design.md) - [Creature-Like Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/octopus-center-table.md) - [Luxury Transparent Game Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/effetto-71-ping-pong-table.md)
