# Toilet Paper Art PA-Design Turns Sitting on the John into Surrealism By Harris Jay Rosenberg Alterman | Published 2012-03-15 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pa-design References: [bookofjoe](http://www.bookofjoe.com/2012/03/toilet-paper-art-rack.html?) & [pa-design](http://www.pa-design.com/produit.php?prid=1038) PA-Design has created a series of [toilet paper sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fragmenti) available for sale. While some choose to have pictures and paintings to decorate the interior of a bathroom, others may fancy combining the art with the toilet paper itself. The sculptures are made of a [wooden board](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drawing-series) that has 12 toilet paper pegs on it. Then, a number of rolls are put on in what seems like no particular order. One may wonder why the rolls were placed this way, but there is no definite answer when it comes to abstract art. Some of the racks even feature [brightly colored toilet paper](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/krazy-klean-walla) that can brighten up a room. PA-Designs has created something that is both appealing for the eye and for the rear end. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.8/10 - Popularity: 34% | Activity: 43% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Toilet Paper Sculptures:** Creating sculptures using toilet paper opens up opportunities for artistic expression in unexpected places. - **Combining Art and Functionality:** Integrating art into everyday objects like toilet paper offers a new way to enhance the aesthetic appeal of common items. - **Abstract Toilet Paper Decor:** Embracing abstract art in toilet paper decoration allows for unique and unconventional bathroom aesthetics. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Home Decor:** The home decor industry can explore new product lines that incorporate artistic elements like toilet paper sculptures. - **Art Supplies:** Art supply manufacturers can develop specialized products that cater to artists interested in experimenting with unconventional mediums, such as toilet paper. - **Hospitality:** Hotels and restaurants can embrace abstract toilet paper decor to create visually striking and memorable experiences for their guests. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Surrealist Beauty Lines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/toiletpaper-magazine.md) - [Illuminated Public Artful Toilets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hiroo-east-park.md) - [Brutalist Smart Toilets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/formation-02.md) - [Festive Bamboo Tissues Papers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stackatree.md) - [Quirky Toilet Brushes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stylish-toilet-brush.md) - [Festively Painted Toilet Paper](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bim-bam-boo-jingle-rolls-toilet-paper.md) - [Endless Toilet Paper Rolls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/forevr-roll.md) - [Aesthetic Bathroom Plungers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-plunger.md) - [Smart Toilet Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-toilets.md)
