This spiked sofa is as comfortable as it is dangerous, which is a good thing. The 'Oxygen Design Sofa' is one [dead sexy place to sit](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/edgeofyr). Black and white are always dynamite when paired together, and the addition of the atypical [spiked design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ceiba-series) makes this an [ultra-contemporary couch](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/poet-sofa). My only question is, what will Svilen Gamolov think of next? ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.1/10 - Popularity: 28% | Activity: 28% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Spiky Furniture:** Designing furniture with spiky elements for an edgy and contemporary aesthetic. - **Black and White Contrast:** Using the combination of black and white in design for a modern and striking visual impact. - **Unconventional Sofa Designs:** Creating sofas with unique and unconventional designs to redefine seating experiences. ### Where This Applies - **Furniture Design:** Innovative furniture designers can explore spiky elements and unique designs to create standout pieces. - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can incorporate black and white contrast and unconventional sofa designs to add visual interest and modernity to spaces. - **Home Decor Retail:** Home decor retailers can offer spiky furniture and black and white contrast options to cater to customers looking for edgy and contemporary home furnishings. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Transparent Hard-Sided Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spark-sofa.md) - [Curvy Segmented Outdoor Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/segmented-outdoor-sofa.md) - [Plush Sculptural Lounge Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rokko.md) - [Ultra-Comfy Seating Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cushy-lounge-chair.md) - [Organically Shaped Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/repose-sofa.md) - [Voluptuous Modern Sofa Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/reimagined-everyday-sofa.md) - [Mountainous Magnetic Wall-Mounted Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mousarris-summit-modular-sofa.md) - [Precariously Suspended Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/suspended-sofa.md) - [Plush Oversized Sectionals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/albany-park-kova-pit-sofa.md)
