The OutOfThePinkSky Artfire studio creates what seem like ordinary [hip earrings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-art-of-adornment) to the unsuspecting observer. Open the earrings, though, and there is a secret coded message written in a diagrammatic cipher. Historically famous, it's a spy communication by Velvalee Dickinson, who used her [doll business](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/girls-crew) to send information to the Japanese in World War II.

The design is called Papa November, after one of the many pop culture-inspired rhythmic broadcasts of unknown origin that appear on [shortwave radio frequencies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/johannes-vermeer-1). See more of OutOfThePinkSky's work above.
