# Giant Outfoor Fireplaces A Circular Wooden Fire Hut by Haugen Zohar Architects By Marissa Liu | Published 2009-12-18 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/outdoor-fireplace References: [archdaily](http://www.archdaily.com/43809/fireplace-for-children-haugenzohar-arkitekter/) & [hza.no](http://www.hza.no/) This huge outdoor fireplace by Haugen/Zohar Architects is more like a [wooden tepee](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/teepee-pavilion) then a traditional fireplace. It is made of [old wooden logs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/woodburning-appliance), layered in 80 circles. So, not only is it beautiful, it’s also eco-friendly. While the design is surely stunning, don’t use pieces from the outdoor fireplace to keep the fire burning. The outdoor fireplace would be a great place to roast marshmallows and hot dogs and tell scary stories on cold winter nights. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.7/10 - Popularity: 25% | Activity: 18% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: South America, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Eco-friendly Outdoor Fireplaces:** There is potential for innovation in creating sustainable outdoor fireplaces that use environmentally friendly materials. - **Circular Fire Pit Designs:** The circular design presents opportunities to create unique and aesthetically pleasing fire pit designs. - **Year-round Outdoor Entertaining:** Incorporating outdoor fireplaces into backyard designs can create spaces that can be enjoyed all year round. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Home and Garden:** The outdoor fireplace industry may see a shift towards more eco-friendly and unique designs. - **Architecture and Design:** Circular fire pit designs could be a new trend in outdoor architecture and design. - **Tourism and Hospitality:** Outdoor fireplaces can provide opportunities for hotels and resorts to create cozy and inviting outdoor spaces for guests to enjoy. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Portable Cylindrical Fireplaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ecosmart-fire-pillar-3t.md) - [Oxidized Outdoor Fire Pits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/eva-solo-firecube.md) - [Public Sculptural Pergola Barbecues](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/communal-barbecue.md) - [Elegant Firepit Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/backyard-firepit.md) - [Functional Design-Conscious Fit Pits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tiki-patio-smokeless-fire-pit.md) - [Single-Person Camper Fireplaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/snow-peak-takibi-solo.md) - [Communal Fireplace Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hearth-coffee-table.md) - [Stainless Steel Modular Stoves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-stainlesssteel.md) - [Mixed-Material Tabletop Fireplaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brasscene-harmony-flame-fireplace.md)
