# Invisible Office Spaces Oslo's Skyline Gets Crystalized With Project 'Crystal Clear' By Shelby Lee Walsh | Published 2009-07-07 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oslo-skyline-project-crystal-clear References: [cfmoller](http://www.cfmoller.com/siteCFM/splash.asp) The aesthetic attributed to Nordic architecture is being pushed to its very limits with the transformation of Oslo's Skyline. The modern architectural buildings pictured here are [crystalline skyscrapers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/astra-skyscraper) designed by Danish architects C.F.Møller and Norwegian practice Kristin Jarmund Arkitekter. These architects were awarded first prize in a competition to think up an innovative concept for [three office towers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/selldorf-architects). The project, entitled [Crystal Clear](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crystal-palace-dinosaurs), won them the competition with its “prismatic cubes with clear jagged edges that emerge from the ground and gracefully stretch upward, illuminating the majestic northern sky.” I wouldn't mind working in an office building that looked like that at all. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.9/10 - Popularity: 44% | Activity: 64% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Crystalline Architecture:** The trend of incorporating crystalline designs in architecture creates visually stunning and unique office spaces. - **Prismatic Cubes:** The use of prismatic cubes with clear jagged edges in office tower designs adds a futuristic and dynamic element to traditional skyscrapers. - **Nordic Aesthetic:** The push to push the boundaries of the Nordic architectural aesthetic leads to the development of innovative office spaces that blend nature and modernity. ### Where This Applies - **Architecture:** The architecture industry can leverage the trend of crystalline designs and prismatic cubes to create innovative office spaces that attract attention and inspire. - **Real Estate:** Real estate developers can explore the use of crystalline architecture and prismatic cubes to differentiate their office buildings and offer unique working environments. - **Interior Design:** The trend of incorporating Nordic aesthetics with crystalline elements creates opportunities for interior designers to create visually striking and cohesive office interiors. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Green-Timber Glad Office Spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lumber-4.md) - [Ski Resort Crystalline Skyscrapers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/trojena-ski-resort.md) - [Water-Inspired Sales Building](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cifi-group.md) - [Industrial Waterfront Headquarters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nderkleiva.md) - [Pier-Side Dynamic Office Spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/big-hq.md) - [Steel Structural Dynamic Workspaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/skylab-office.md) - [Office Building Rainbow Facades](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vertical-rainbow-office.md) - [Staggered Cubic Skyscrapers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ooda.md) - [Warm Office Interiors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kinzo-architekten.md)
