It is meant to be [mounted onto the wall](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vs01-bluetooth-vertical-turntable) and boasts a look inspired by flying saucers. It is made to answer the question which prompts, “If I would make a turntable today, how would it look like?” The designer approached the idea starting by sectioning each component of a turntable into its own elements to create a more platform form. Olsson explains, “The main driver of the design is the sharp contrast between the organic and vivid tonearm housing, and the rational and geometric metal framework. This separation makes it appear as though the tonearm housing is a separate instrument that plays the record.” Image Credit: Oscar Olsson ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.3/10 - Popularity: 24% | Activity: 22% | Freshness: 24% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Wall-mounted Audio Equipment:** Integration of audio equipment as wall-mounted units introduces an aesthetic and functional redesign of traditional devices. - **Futuristic Home Decor:** Designing home appliances inspired by futuristic elements like flying saucers brings a novel and visually appealing aspect to home decor. - **Separable Component Design:** Creating products with sectioned components enhances customization and modular functionality in contemporary electronics. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Audio Equipment Manufacturing:** Innovations in the design of turntables and speakers are revolutionizing the aesthetic and functional aspects of audio equipment. - **Home Decor:** The integration of cutting-edge design concepts into everyday household items is reshaping consumer expectations in the home decor industry. - **Product Design:** Modern approaches to product component separation and integration provide new pathways for industrial designers to explore. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Floating Wall-Mounted Turntables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/disco-volante-turntable.md) - [Art Gallery Turntables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/audiotechnica-turntable.md) - [Sculptural Modern Turntable Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/amuni-studio.md) - [Retro-Modern Turntable Units](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vertical-turntable-concept.md) - [See-Through Sci-Fi Turntable Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/harman-kardon-record-player.md) - [Modern Sideways Audio Turntables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pp1.md) - [Illusory Floating Turntables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/audiotechnica-hotaru.md) - [Record-Cleaning Vinyl Turntables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crescent-turntable.md) - [Sleek Vertical Turntables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/miniot-wheel-3.md)
