The Origami-Mi Kitchen does not even incorporate three, two or one spatial divider, but it does suggest a space that specializes in sustenance storage, cooking and cleaning. In order to give this room its [open boundaries](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/igt-phantom-stove), designer Olga Kryukova constructed the amalgamated furnishing from boxes mounted on a metal tube structure. The sharp sculptural units can be customizable to take a number of intriguing geometric shapes. The pristine white cabinetry of the Origami-Mi Kitchen is given a contemporary edge with the incorporation of angular lines, and lightened up by quirky wireframe racks built between the crisp contours. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.5/10 - Popularity: 53% | Activity: 74% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Flexible Kitchen Design:** Creating kitchen spaces that do not adhere to traditional four walls, offering customizable and open floor plans for food preparation and storage. - **Geometric Furniture Design:** Incorporating sharp sculptural units and angular lines in kitchen cabinetry and furniture, adding a contemporary and visually appealing aesthetic to the space. - **Wireframe Storage Solutions:** Utilizing quirky wireframe racks and shelves in kitchen designs to provide unique storage options, combining functionality with an artistic touch. ### Who This Affects Most - **Interior Design:** Opportunity for interior designers to create innovative kitchen spaces that challenge traditional layouts and offer customizable options for clients. - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Potential for furniture manufacturers to explore the production of geometric kitchen cabinetry and modular units to meet the demand for modern and customizable kitchen designs. - **Kitchen Organization:** Market for companies specializing in wireframe storage solutions for kitchens, offering innovative and visually appealing alternatives to traditional shelving systems. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Tech-Informed Modular Kitchens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rekook.md) - [Space-Conscious Kitchen Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/magnetic-kitchen-design.md) - [Compact Kitchen Furniture Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/compact-kitchen-furniture.md) - [Cabinet-Style Kitchen Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/next125-pocket-system.md) - [Minimalist Modular Kitchens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sensient-cosmetic-technologies.md) - [Pro-Grade Self-Standing Kitchens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brio-kitchen-box.md) - [Vehicular All-In-One Kitchens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/allinone-kitchen.md) - [Ai-Powered Recipe-Generating Appliance](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-kitchen-cosmo.md) - [Origami-Inspired Lunch Boxes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/foldibox-2.md)
