# Artistic Organic Lighting Vezzini & Chen Design Pendant Lamps Using Bone China and Glass By Meghan Young | Published 2015-01-08 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/organic-light References: [design-milk](http://design-milk.com/clear-glass-pendants-glowing-bone-china-centers/) & [vandcdesign](http://vandcdesign.com/) Vezzini & Chen has created a couple of stunning organic light fixtures that are made out of an unusual material, at least when it comes to this piece of furniture. The organic lights feature bulbous [blown glass](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/polaris) that contains equally [sculptural bone china](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nova-pendant-light) that glows warmly due to the bulb it itself contains. The result is something both practical and artistic. The organic light fixtures come in two different styles Geo and Close Up. The first is more abstract than the latter, but both are undeniably visually captivating. The bone china bits are slip casted and hand carved individually by Cristina Vezzini while the glass pieces are free blown by Sheng Tsang Chen. This ensures that each piece may be similar, but they are ultimately unique. They are made for modern homes. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.9/10 - Popularity: 85% | Activity: 55% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Organic Lighting:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Exploring sustainable and eco-friendly lighting solutions using organic materials. - **Artistic Light Fixtures:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Integrating art and functionality to create unique and visually captivating light fixtures. - **Handcrafted Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Leveraging traditional crafting techniques to create individually unique and handmade lighting products. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Interior Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Incorporating artistic and organic lighting solutions to enhance interior spaces. - **Sustainable Furniture:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Creating innovative furniture pieces that combine organic materials and eco-friendly lighting. - **Artisanal Lighting:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Tapping into the growing market for handcrafted lighting designs that blend artistry and functionality. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Dynamic Artful Light Fixtures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ghost-chandelier.md) - [Exquisite Textured Pendant Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pendant-lamp1.md) - [Plant-Inspired Dynamic Chandeliers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blossom-chandelier.md) - [Organic Light Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lapso.md) - [Elegant Geometric Light Fixtures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/geometric-light-fixture.md) - [Otherworldly Lighting Fixture Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/otherworldly-lighting-fixture.md) - [Stunningly Intricate Light Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shapes-of-light.md) - [Blooming Light Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bloome.md) - [3D-Printed Cloud-Like Pendant Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lightmass-2025-pendants.md)
