In a horror movie situation, the only thing scarier than hearing a chainsaw wielded by a maniac is having a [silent one](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dust-hightail-electric-dirt-bike) like the [OREGON](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oregon-episcopal-school) PowerNow Chainsaw creep up on the victim in distress.

Okay, so the OREGON PowerNow Chainsaw isn't 100 percent silent; however, it is a lot quieter than the average chainsaw. That's mainly because it is [electric-powered rather than gas-powered](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/batterypowered-lawn-mowers). It packs a large endurance battery pack that runs at 40V MAX. Because of this, users don't even have to pull on the cord to start the chainsaw up; simply pull the trigger and it'll be ready to go. Another benefit is that once the blade starts to get dull, its built-in chain sharpening mechanism will kick in to keep it sharp.
