The Orcam MyEye is a wearable camera that augments blind people's glasses to help improve their day-to-day activities.

Though the common conception of a blind person is someone with absolutely no vision whatsoever, the majority of legally blind people have at least some degree of sight. The Orcam MyEye is a method to help improve the capabilities that legally blind people have with intelligent cameras.

The system uses a camera mounted on the side of a pair of glasses. It uses facial recognition and character recognition technology to help its wearers with regular daily activities. For example, if a wearer attempts to read a label or some other text, the Orcam MyEye cameras can pick up the text and dictate it into the wearer's ear. It can also tell people who they are looking at by referencing its database of wearer-submitted faces.
