While it looks like a typical stump to sit on, it actually has a few details that sets it apart from its more traditional cousins. First of all, the Orbit Stool rocks. This not only provides a comforting motion for fidgeters, it also ensures people keep moving even when supposedly static. Secondly, it boasts a convenient slot on one side that allows such items as books and magazines to be stored. Created by [Snapp Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/solis-collection), the Orbit Stool boasts a cork base with a cushioned exterior that provides a comfortable perch. Available in various colors including blue, pink, grey and green, the Orbit Stool is basic enough to complement just about any existing home decor. It is also a captivating place to sit. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.1/10 - Popularity: 21% | Activity: 5% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Rocking Seats:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Designing customizable and ergonomic rocking seats for improved comfort and movement. - **Storage Seating:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Incorporating functional storage solutions into seating designs for added convenience. - **Cushioned Perches:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Developing comfortable and versatile seating options with cushioned exteriors. ### Where This Applies - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Integrating innovative seating designs into the furniture manufacturing industry. - **Interior Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Collaborating with designers to create seating solutions that enhance home decor. - **Home Goods Retail:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Offering unique and functional seating options in home goods retail stores. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Modern Seating Centerpieces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/orbit-chair.md) - [Sloped Movement Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tippi-chair.md) - [Contemporary Rocking Pouffe Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/platero.md) - [Active Sitting Cork Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ylin-stool.md) - [Active Motion Desk Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/swing-ao-stool.md) - [Multifaceted Geometric Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stackable-stools.md) - [Sculptural Outdoor Seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/orbit-outdoor-furniture.md) - [Dynamic Movement Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wobbl-rocking-chair.md) - [Modernized Rocking Chair Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nodding-chair.md)
