The lamp is characterized by its illuminator in the middle, which is surrounded by a shade to offer either targeted or ambient lighting. A built-in slider on the top offers users the ability to transition between the two modes, while the tubular construction allows for placement on any surface. The 'Orbis' lamp concept is perfect for setting the mood, which could include supporting productivity or even relaxing at the end of the day. The lamp takes a decidedly artistic approach to illumination and will elevate the aesthetic of any professional or personal space. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.8/10 - Popularity: 65% | Activity: 37% | Freshness: 13% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Modern](https://www.trendhunter.com/modern) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Dual-illumination Lamps:** As consumers look for versatile lighting solutions, dual-illumination lamps provide an opportunity for businesses to differentiate their products in the home decor industry - **Convertible Lighting:** Convertible lighting is a disruptive trend in the lighting industry as it offers the flexibility to switch between different modes for different lighting needs - **Artistic Illuminators:** With consumers seeking more than just functional lighting, artistic illuminators can create new opportunities for businesses to innovate in the lighting and home decor industry ### Where This Applies - **Lighting:** The 'Orbis' lamp concept represents a unique product offering for the lighting industry to explore dual-illumination and convertible lighting design possibilities - **Home Decor:** As a visually appealing and functional lighting solution, dual-illumination lamps contribute to the wider trend of home decor that combines aesthetics and practicality - **Interior Design:** Incorporating the 'Orbis' lamp concept into interior design can provide an opportunity to offer a contemporary, flexible and creative lighting solution for clients ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Calming Orb Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/orb-lamp1.md) - [Removable Head Portable Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lexon-orbe.md) - [Hollow Candle-Like Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lampe.md) - [Childhood-Inspired Magnetic Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/orbe.md) - [3D-Printed Mood Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/orbyt.md) - [Multifunctional C-Shaped Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clamp.md) - [Three-in-One Lamp Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bell-lamp.md) - [Geometric Industrial Desktop Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nebula-lamp.md) - [Structural Two-Part Lighting Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luno-lamp.md)
