It reflects a tranquillity that I admire and a space that is [closer to nature](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-by-the-grove) because of its openness. Designed by Bojan Simic, the Orb House was inspired by [ancient dwellings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-gesso) in Pompeii. A huge space, it is divided into two zones -- one for sleeping and the other for living. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.7/10 - Popularity: 38% | Activity: 5% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Large Windows:** The trend of incorporating large windows in house designs provides a sense of openness and a closer connection to nature. - **Glass Architecture:** The trend of using glass extensively in architectural designs creates visually stunning and tranquil spaces. - **Open Floor Plans:** The trend of open floor plans in homes allows for flexible and versatile living spaces. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Architecture:** The architecture industry can embrace the trend of glasschitecture and create innovative designs that prioritize natural light and openness. - **Real Estate:** The real estate industry can tap into the trend of large windows and glass architecture to create more desirable and marketable homes. - **Interior Design:** The interior design industry can leverage the trend of open floor plans to create seamless and connected living spaces that enhance the overall design aesthetic and functionality. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Chic Curved Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/curved-house1.md) - [All-Glass Mesmerizing Compact Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beaufort-bushland-retreat.md) - [Sustainable Dome Villas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/belalu-dome-villa.md) - [Panoramic Scenic Dreamy Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-in-sozopol.md) - [Tranquil Courtyard Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sanctum-house.md) - [Glass-Lined Corridor Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tranquil-abiding.md) - [Lush Surroundings Glass Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/glass-house-1.md) - [Temple-Inspired Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/j-kidman-architecture.md) - [Hilltop Modern Retreats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-cloud-house.md)
