Computers that fit in your eyes—that’s what opto-electronic contact lenses are. Dr. Babak Parviz of the [University of Washington](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/picoring) recently revealed a prototype of this special lens, which can display “biosensor feedback about the wearer’s vital signs,” according to Slashgear.

The opto-electronic contact lenses, which are embedded with a semi-transparent array, feature an LED that can wirelessly receive power from a nearby RF transmitter. Researchers believe that in the future, the opto-electronic contact lenses may be used for tracking blood sugar levels through the monitoring of the eye’s surface chemistry.
