Using a bunch of these filaments as a funnel that channels the direction of the flash on the camera, a whole new arena of lighting options comes into play. The flexible rods are able to bend in any direction so photographers can choose the precise angle of lighting and change it easily by adjusting the way they hold the fibers. For even cooler effects, the [fiber optics](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/superwire) can be manipulated to face different directions at once, creating intriguing shadows and unusual displays of light.
