[Mozilla](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ai-startups) has built itself on the idea of open-source, so much so that the tech giant has partnered with [Widmer Brothers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beer-brothers) brewery to produce an open-source beer. The idea of a decentralized beer may sound like an outlandish concept, but the idea perfectly translated in Tropical IPA crafted with plenty of community input. This input was garnered through a survey that gave various people input on the hops, style and any special additions they would like to see in a beer. Responses were then tabulated and weighed by Mozilla before being sent to the brewers at Widmer.

The open-source beer project was officially launched at Widmer Brothers brewing but this will not be the end of the beer. Mozilla and Widmer have both committed to continue the open-source beer project and will continue to improve upon the beer based on feedback from people who have already tasted it.
