The device works by being placed into one of the eyes of the coconut and twisted like a corkscrew in order to crack the exterior wheel to expose the interior section. This enables the accompanying prying tool to be used to wedge the fruit open to enjoy [the water within](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pia-colada-with-pulp) or access the fresh flesh. The 'Cococrack' Coconut Opening Tool is a far safer method to opening coconuts and will make the process far safer by preventing shell pieces from flying about. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.8/10 - Popularity: 69% | Activity: 37% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Kitchen](https://www.trendhunter.com/kitchen) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Safer Coconut Opening Tools:** The 'Cococrack' Coconut Opening Tool provides a safer and easier way to open coconuts by using a corkscrew-like mechanism. - **Efficient Fruit Access:** The 'Cococrack' Coconut Opening Tool allows for quick and efficient access to the water and fresh flesh inside coconuts. - **Alternative Food Preparation Tools:** The 'Cococrack' Coconut Opening Tool opens up possibilities for other innovative tools for opening and preparing different types of fruits. ### Where This Applies - **Kitchen Utensils:** The 'Cococrack' Coconut Opening Tool is a disruptive innovation opportunity in the kitchen utensils industry. - **Food and Beverage:** The 'Cococrack' Coconut Opening Tool presents a potential disruptive innovation opportunity within the food and beverage industry for easier fruit access. - **Outdoor Gear:** The 'Cococrack' Coconut Opening Tool can be an innovative addition to the outdoor gear industry for campers and adventurers looking to easily open coconuts. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Springy Safety-Focused Nutcrackers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/silicone-nutcracker.md) - [Automated Countertop Nut Crackers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pelamatic-electric-nut-cracker.md) - [Wine Bottle Cork Trimmers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/qwikcork.md) - [Elegant Nutcracker Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/maillet.md) - [Candy Cane Openers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-brachs-cane-opener.md) - [Full-Top Can Openers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/draft-top-pro.md) - [Modernized Coconut Water Brands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/coconut-water-brand.md) - [Functional Coconut Ciders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/coconut-cider-drink.md) - [Beverage Can Openers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/davi-can-opener.md)
