Yup, you can now exhibit your luxe wheels thanks to inventive Japanese architect Kenji Yanagawa, who brilliantly exhibited his [Ferrari](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/taron-wine-bottle-designs), [Porsche](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/my-two-cars-garage) and Honda S2000 in his hillside pad in Hyogo Prefecture. Using a vertical elevator to make his open-air garage a reality, Yanagawa is able to see his collection from both inside and outside his home. The crafty design not only looks slick for those who want to casually showoff their collection; it will also give the environment a break with its limited footprint. If this works its way on your auto heaven wish-list, get busy working on those collections. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.4/10 - Popularity: 72% | Activity: 83% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 90% men, 10% women - Primary generations: Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Autos](https://www.trendhunter.com/autos) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Open-air Garage Exhibitions:** Creating open-air exhibitions for lavish car collections is a growing trend among car enthusiasts looking to showcase their automobiles. - **Vertical Auto Storage:** Innovative designs using vertical lifts and elevators have sparked interest in more efficient ways of storing high-end car collections. - **Sustainable Auto Displays:** Sustainable and eco-friendly designs for outdoor car displays are becoming increasingly popular. ### Where This Applies - **Automotive Industry:** Car manufacturers can collaborate with architects and designers to create specialized open-air garages for their customers. - **Real Estate Industry:** Luxury real estate developers can appeal to high-end car collectors by incorporating open-air garage designs into their properties. - **Architecture and Design Industry:** Architectural firms can explore innovative designs for sustainable and efficient open-air garages for luxury car collections. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Geometric Garage Pavilions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/my-two-cars-garage.md) - [Luxe Car-Focused Residence Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/greenway-parks.md) - [Juxtaposing Garden Home Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/garden-garage.md) - [Futuristic Auto Micro Factories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/auto-micro-factory.md) - [Circus Tent-Inspired Holiday Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-circus.md) - [Reimagined Open-Top Supercars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/opentop-supercar.md) - [Open-Air Autonomous Cars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/polestar-adaptor.md) - [Hidden Resort Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stealth-1.md) - [Ultra-Slick Auto Retail Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/latelier-alpine.md)
