# Dynamic Office Chairs Shortcut by Turnstone is Designed for the On-the-Go Worker By Meghan Young | Published 2015-04-01 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/onthego-worker References: [myturnstone](http://myturnstone.com/shortcut/) Shortcut is the apt name for the latest office chair designed with the on-the-go worker in mind. A simple construction, it's not as elaborate as seating often associated with the workplace tends to be. In place of a bigger design, Shortcut is streamlined to reflect the mindset of the on-the-go worker better. With its subtle armrests, cutout back and dual color palette, it's easy to see why this office chair is so appealing. Designed by [Steelcase](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/personality-plus) brand Turnstone, Shortcut boasts and easily adjustable height that addresses the different positions the on-the-go worker would take throughout the day. As the brand writes, "Shortcut is designed for the [dynamic, short sits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/libernovo-omni) that keep pace in today's office." It's clear from this design that consumers are looking for stylish and innovative solutions for their busy work environments. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.3/10 - Popularity: 75% | Activity: 76% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Dynamic Office Chairs:** Office chairs are evolving from traditional, bulky designs into more streamlined and easily adjustable options for the on-the-go worker. - **Streamlined Workplace Design:** The workplace is shifting towards minimalistic design that prioritizes functionality and mobility without sacrificing style and comfort. - **Innovative Office Solutions:** New and innovative office solutions, like the Shortcut office chair, are meeting the demands of today's dynamic and fast-paced work environments. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Furniture manufacturers have an opportunity to create unique and innovative designs that cater to the needs of the modern worker and their increasingly mobile work styles. - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can provide their clients with modern and functional work environments that prioritize mobility and functionality without compromising style and comfort. - **Office Supply Retail:** Retailers specializing in office supplies can offer their customers innovative office solutions that are designed to meet the needs of today's dynamic and fast-paced workplaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Minimalist Ergonomic Office Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ergonomic-office-chair1.md) - [Adjustable Workstation Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/newtral-freedom-x.md) - [Dynamic Intelligent Office Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dynamic-spinecare.md) - [Stylish Ergonomic Office Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stylish-ergonomic-office-chair.md) - [Bold Mobile Work Seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/omniseat-portable-productivity.md) - [Supportively Stylish Office Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/knoll-newson.md) - [Health-Focused Office Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-office-chair.md) - [Shapeshifting Spine-Like Work Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spine-chair.md) - [Versatile Dynamic Armchair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dynamic-armchair.md)
